Families today have evolved way beyond "nuclear". Few of our
students live with both biological parents. Indeed, families are
now made up of step-parents and step-siblings, same-sex parents,
parents in prison, grandparents as primary caregivers, adoptees,
and children in foster care. This workshop endeavors to discuss the
challenges these changes bring to our students and gathers
practical ways to help them cope with society's attitudes and
thrive. Lecture, discussion, experiential, and self-directed
exploration.
