Enrollment Procedures

If you have never attended Butler University, you must first apply for admission to the university. The "Application for Non-Degree Admission" can be accessed by going to www.butler.edu/coe and click on "Apply Online". Please follow the instructions carefully. You will be unable to register for workshops until you have been fully admitted to the university. Please allow at least 2 weeks after you have submitted all required paperwork including transcripts. After you have been admitted, you may register for the workshop of your choice. If you have questions, please call graduate admissions at (317) 940-8100. You may register online prior to the start of the semester or by faxing the "Student Information Form and Requested Class Schedule" included here to (317) 940-6481.

If you have attended Butler University as a non-degree graduate student within the last year, then you may fax the "Student Information Form and Requested Class Schedule" included here to (317) 940-6481.

If you have previously attended Butler University, but have not taken any courses within the last calendar year, you may use the "Application for Renewed Enrollment" included here. Then you may register online after being readmitted. If the semester has already started, then you may register by faxing the "Student Information Form and Requested Class Schedule" included here (317) 940-6481.

You must be fully admitted to the university at least 1 week prior to the start of the workshop in order to enroll for credit.

Workshop enrollments will close one week prior to the first class meeting and no drops/refunds will be approved after that date. An enrollment of 5 graduate students seeking regular graduate credit is required for a class to convene. If a class is cancelled, enrolled students will be notified.

Tuition is charged at the rate of $370 per credit hour. For some workshops, only half the tuition rate is being charged ($185 per credit hour). These are clearly marked.

If you have questions regarding the workshop program please contact Cindy Smith at (317) 940-8464 or clsmith@butler.edu.
