Degree Progress Report
To check how your accomplishments match up to the degree
requirements for your major, you can review your Degree Progress
Report, also called an Academic Advising Report or Advising
Audit.
Step-by-Step
Log on to your My.Butler.edu account. In the menu on the left,
click on Self Service and then Degree
Progress/Graduation and View Degree Progress
Report. From here you can just press the
button to see your current status in your current
degree program. Thinking of a change? Check the Quick What-If report
below.
How to Read your Advising Audit
This report itemizes each requirement for your degree and major,
and identifies whether the requirement is satisfied or not. If it
has been satisfied, it lists the courses which are used to satisfy
the requirement. If the requirement has NOT been met,
Requirement Not Satisfied is shown, with details
about why.
It's a long report; be patient. Read carefully to find the
specifics about requirements that you are thinking about, and to
make sure there are no surprizes later.
Not Quite Right?
Variances are sometimes granted, and sometimes an error is made
in interpretation of a requirement. If you feel you have fulfilled
a requirement that is still showing as not satisfied, check with
R&R. Call Deanna Crisan (317) 940-9442 or Debbie Ach (317)
940-9574 to set up a review.
The 'Quick What-if' button allows you to see the effect that
changing your major would make in your progress towards satisfying
different degree requirements. It allows you to specify a major and
then generate an advisement audit based on that choice. To use the
'Quick What-if' button, follow these steps.
- Click on the 'Quick What-if' link.
- On the Quick What-if Analysis Report page,
complete the options boxes in the left-hand column by clicking on
the
button to see the available
options. Fill in the boxes from top to bottom.
Note: Each text box describes a different part of
your academic profile, as follows:
- Career = Undergraduate or Graduate degree studies
- Program = College
- Plan = Major
- Subplan = Area of specialization, concentration or track
Note: Subplan is an optional text box.
- Complete the text boxes in the right-hand column by filling in
the current semester's
term code. Click on the
button to see a list of terms. (Quick hint: use 4071)
Each of the text boxes should contain the same term. If you
completed the Subplan text box in the left column, then fill in the
term field in the corresponding right column. Otherwise, you may
leave the Subplan term box blank.
- Click on the
button. Your Academic Advisement Report
appears.
