Advising for Registration
An early period of advising for registration is available and
recommended for students currently enrolled at Butler.
Advising for registration in a new semester usually starts 2
weeks before Self Service Registration. Check the Academic Calendar for specific dates.
You should contact your advisor and schedule an advising
appointment in these two weeks. For degree seeking students, your
advisor will approve your registration.
All students enrolled in credit courses have an academic
advisor. If you expect to take courses for credit toward licenses
or degrees, you should consult with the proper advisor. A personal
interview may be necessary and at that time you will be registered
by your advisor, or allowed to register through the My.Butler portal.
Who is my advisor?
If you have forgotten who your advisor is, you can check in the
My.Butler portal. Go to My.Butler.edu and log in. On the Enterprise
Menu, select "Self Service", then "Student Center". Your advisor is
listed on the right.
