Registration and Records Mission
The Registration and Records office is responsible for keeping
the academic history of Butler University; recording academic
policy and approved changes in University publications; publishing
approved curricula and facilitating student enrollment; recording
and reporting grades as awarded by the faculty for each course.
These grades become an official record of the University and are
maintained as student transcripts as official records of the
University. This academic history is available to students,
faculty, and staff within the law set by the Federal Right to
Privacy Act.
We adhere to ethics as described by the American Association of
Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers in our interactions
with students, faculty, and staff. Recognizing the privacy rights
of our students and our obligation to safeguard the academic
history we keep.
