Radiation Safety Program
The use of radioactive materials and sources of ionizing
radiation throughout Butler University is regulated by numerous
government agencies including U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission,
Indiana State Board of Health, Department of Transportation, and
the Environmental Protection Agency. At Butler University, the
Radiation Safety Officer oversees the safe use of ionizing
radiation. The Radiation Safety Officer is responsible for
administering the radiation safety program and maintaining
compliance with all applicable regulations.
