Shari Alexander Richey ~ Vice President for University Advancement



In October 2012, Shari Alexander Richey joined Butler University as Interim Vice President for University Advancement, and now serves that role in a permanent capacity. She previously was a Trustee for the University for nine years, and served on multiple committees and in myriad roles. Prior to assuming the University Advancement leadership role, Shari was a Tax Consulting Partner at Ernst & Young, LLP. Shari spent over 21 years in a successful accounting career, while also enjoying a strong civic and community leader role. Shari has served multiple years on the boards of the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., The Susan G. Komen Foundation in Indianapolis, United Way of Central Indiana and Women United. She is currently a member of the Zionsville Community School Board of Trustees, and Zionsville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Richey earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Accounting from Butler University in 1988.
