Better known as "L.J." to
colleagues, friends and Butler students, Levester Johnson has
served as the vice president for Student Affairs at Butler
University for the past 16 years. His Twitter account, @LevesterJohnson, has received
recognition throughout higher education, and has been featured in
NASPA's Leadership Exchange magazine as well as
bachelorsdegree.org's "25 College Presidents You Should Follow on
Twitter" list. L.J. earned his bachelor of arts in broadcast
communications from Marquette University, his master's degree in
college student personnel from Southern Illinois University and his
doctorate of education from Indiana University. He has held
numerous leadership positions within higher education associations,
including his current role as chair of the NASPA Board of
Directors. L.J.'s past civic activities include serving on the
board of directors of the 21st Century Charter School and the
Fountain Square Charter School, as well as the board of directors
for College Mentors for Kids! Inc.
