Larry Kennedy ~ Vice Chair, Faculty Senate

Larry Kennedy

Laurence Kennedy serves as Vice Chair of the Faculty Senate. He is also an associate professor of pharmacy practice in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Laurence earned his B.S. in Pharmacy at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy (Boston Campus) and completed a pharmacy residency at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Clinics (Augusta) before completing his M.S. in Hospital Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacy Care Administration at the University of Georgia (Athens). Kennedy served as Chair of the Pharmacy Practice Department at Butler University from 1993 until 1999. He has also served as a member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education from 2008 until 2011 and has published more than two dozen articles and book chapters. Honors include receiving the Indiana Public Health Foundation Excellence in Health Research Sciences Award and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists highest national award for research in consultant pharmacy. Dr. Kennedy has also offered an on-line clinical laboratory for Shenandoah University between 2000 and 2004 and has served as a member of the Central Indiana Hospital Emergency Preparedness Task Force and National Medical Reserve Corp.
