Dentists, Veterinarians Join Health Profession Mentors Program
Pre-dental and pre-veterinary medicine students can now take part in Butler’s Health Professions Mentoring Program, along with pre-medicine students. This year, some 36 Butler sophomores and 29 mentors will take part in the program, launched with a participant reception March 4.
Director of the Office of Post-Graduate Studies Johnny Pryor and Associate Professor Michael Samide, Butler’s pre-health professions advisor, originally conceived the program in 2007 to pair Butler pre-medicine students with practicing physicians who could serve as their mentors and provide expert information regarding their chosen careers.
