Pi Alpha

Pi Alpha is the national physician assistant honor society organized for the promotion and recognition of significant academic achievement, leadership, research, community/professional service, and related activities, and the encouragement of a high standard of character and conduct among both physician assistant students and graduates. The Butler University chapter of Pi Alpha was chartered in 2005.

New Announcement 9-8-13

The Butler Physician Assistant Program is seeking Alumni applicants to be honored in the Pi Alpha National Honor Society. If you had a 3.5 overall GPA in the PA program, you are eligible to apply. In addition, as part of the competitive application process, interested applicants are asked to provide evidence demonstrating that they meet the Pi Alpha requirements of excellence in research, publishing, community service, professional service, or leadership activities. To be considered, these activities may have been completed during, and/or after the professional phase of the PA Program. GPA alone is not an indication for induction. If you are interested in being considered for Pi Alpha induction, please complete the application form and email it to me by Monday, September 16th, 2013.

Faculty members of our Butler Chapter Council of Pi Alpha will assist me in evaluating submitted applications to determine if they meet the strict requirements for honor society induction. You will be notified by e-mail of the Council's decision. If selected, you will be invited to attend a special alumni and faculty induction ceremony at Butler around the time of National P.A. Week in early October. If not selected, we hope you will consider reapplying in the future.

Warm regards,

Jennifer S. Zorn, MS, PA-C
