Curriculum

For those expected to enter the PA Program prior to 2015 or those entering Butler University as freshmen prior to 2014.

The overall "PA curriculum" consists of two portions: the Pre-PA (i.e., pre-physician assistant or pre-professional) phase and the PA (i.e., professional) phase. The Pre-PA phase is comprised of the first and second years of the general PA curriculum and includes the PA program-designated (i.e. prerequisite) courses that must be satisfied by everyone applying to the professional phase (listed below) AND the courses used to satisfy Butler's general education core curriculum that are waived for those with a prior BA/BS degree or higher. The PA phase is comprised of the third, fourth and fifth years of the general PA curriculum and includes the courses of the PA program proper.

*Equivalent transfer courses are also acceptable. 

For those expected to enter the PA Program in 2015 and beyond or those entering Butler University as freshmen in 2014 or beyond.
