Physician Assistant Program

11-24-12

The first NAE (non-academic evaluation) for the early-decision applicants was completed on Saturday, November 17. 40 applicants participated in this event and 15 offers of admission were issued just prior to Thanksgiving to the most highly ranked applicants. Those who participated in the NAE but did not receive offers of admission at this time may consider themselves on the admission waitlist which will remain open until classes begin in the fall of 2013.

Those admission-eligible applicants who were not invited to participate in the early-decision NAE will automatically be considered for invitation to the next NAE scheduled for February 9, 2013.

1-16-13

All applications verified by CASPA were audited yesterday at 5:00PM for preliminary evidence of admission eligibility, i.e. an overall GPA of 3.2 or greater. Those meeting this criteria were then ranked by GPA. The top 80 applicants have been determined and those applicants will have their applications moved forward for further review. Those ultimately invited to attend the 2nd and final NAE will be chosen from this group of 80 and from the group of admission-eligible students who did not receive an invitation for the 1st NAE. Invitations for the 2nd NAE will be issued by e-mail on or after 1-22-13.

2-17-13

The second and final NAE for this admission cycle was completed last Saturday. All scores were collated and analyzed. The candidates were then ranked and offers of admission were issued on 2-14-13. Anyone who attended an NAE and met eligibility criteria will be the first to receive offers of admission once we begin moving down the waitlist. Should the primary waitlist be exhausted and open spots remain in the class, we will proceed down the secondary waitlist which includes eligible applicants who were not invited to participate in either NAE. Be advised, the lowest accepted GPA during the last admission cycle was 3.39 and the average GPA was 3.79.
