Welcome to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
(COPHS)
Thank you for visiting our website! Health care is one of the
most rewarding and popular majors these days. Applicants should
apply early so they get a completed application into the Office of Admissions no later than Nov. 1.
We recommend that applicants have a strong foundation in science
and math courses in high school. Test scores, class ranking,
academic achievement and extracurricular activities are all factors
that will determine admission.
We offer the following programs in Pharmacy and Physician
Assistant (PA)
COPHS offers two points of entry into the Pharm.D.
program:
- Pre-pharmacy admission for freshmen with automatic advancement into the
professional phase
- Professional admission for transfer students that have
completed the prerequisites at a different university or Butler in
a different major. The prerequisites are the first two years of the
curriculum.
COPHS offers two points of entry into the PA program:
- Pre-PA admission for freshmen
- Professional admission for students that have completed the
prerequisites at a different university. The prerequisites are the
first two years of the curriculum, or a BS degree that includes the
math and science requirements.
