ICE your cell phone!
~ Show Answer
The Butler University Police Department encourages students,
faculty and staff to ICE (In case of Emergency) your cell phone.
Under the heading ICE in your cell phone address book, place the
contact information of who you would need contacted in case of an
emergency. This will allow police and medical personnel to make
notification. (e.g. "ICE DAD")
In addition to adding ICE to your cell phone, place BUPD's
direct "cell phone dispatch" number into your contacts:
317-940-9999. Using the 317-940-9999 number from a cell phone
connects you directly with a University police dispatcher.
Calling 911 from a cell phone, your call will be directed to the
city police who in turn will have to redirect your call to the
University police department. BUPD is available on campus 24 hours
a day, 7 days week, 365 days a year. Calling the BUPD dispatch
number will always connect you with a University dispatcher.
