Information for New Families

Butler is pleased to welcome our newest members of the Butler Parent Association. Please review the below information for some helpful hints to ensure that you have all the information and support you need as your student transitions to campus. Butler University Parent Council

Learn more about how you can be involved by visiting the Parent Council website. This group is available during the year to answer questions or receive feedback from families. New families are also invited to apply to serve as members of the Council. Applications for the 2013-2014 year will be available shortly. Visit the Parent Council website to learn more about the group and how to apply. 

Family Weekend 2013

Save the date for Family Weekend 2013, November 8-10. Registration information will be mailed to the home address of each undergraduate student this fall. More information regarding the schedule of events will be available on the Family Weekend website at the beginning of the fall semester.

MyStudentBody

A new online health program, MyStudentBody, gives Butler University parents resources & strategies to help keep students safe, healthy and happy. Register today at http://www.MyStudentBody.com with BUTLERPARENT as the school code, to explore videos, articles and interactive tools that are designed to help parents strengthen communication skills and develop effective prevention strategies related to alcohol, drugs and sexual violence. 

All incoming first year and transfer students are asked to complete the MyStudentBody Essentials course for students by August 18, 2012 which includes educational modules for alcohol, drugs, and sexual violence. More information can be found at: www.butler.edu/mystudentbody.
