Bulldogs Into the Streets (BITS)

What is Bulldogs Into the Streets?

Bulldogs Into the Streets (BITS) is a large-scale day of service hosted by the Butler Volunteer Center annually for new incoming students at Butler. New students are split into groups of 10 to 20, which are led by returning students.  These groups head out to several different local service organizations across the city to volunteer in various ways.

When is the event?

BITS will occur on Tuesday, August 21st, 2012. Check-in usually starts around 11:00am and the event finishes by 4:30pm. Most incoming students are able to participate, as this event is encouraged as part of of Welcome Week. Some Jordan College of Fine Arts students and athletes may have conflicts and should check with their departments or coaches.

How much does it cost?

BITS is completely free! Participants will be provided with lunch and transportation to your work site. Those who register by August 8th will also be guaranteed a T-shirt! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email us at the Volunteer Center.
