Karen Thickstun, piano

Karen Thickstun is adjunct faculty at Butler University in piano and piano pedagogy. She is also director of the Butler Summer Piano Camps and the Butler Community Arts School.

Thickstun holds a B.A. degree from Duke University in economics and piano performance, an M.M. degree from Butler University in piano pedagogy and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Virginia. She is immediate past president of the Indiana Music Teachers Association (IMTA) and was awarded the 2002 IMTA Distinguished Service Award.
