Bassoon Day is Saturday, February 16, 2013
Butler University Bassoon Day is open to bassoonists of all
ages and levels as well as their parents, teachers, and friends.
This year's Bassoon Day will be held in Robertson Hall, with
several events in the beautiful Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall, and
will feature Bruce Hammel, associate professor of music at Virginia
Commonwealth University, and Butler alumnus Stephen Duncan '11,
instructor of bassoon at Marian University. The day will include
performances by our guests and the Butler Bassoon Ensemble. As
always, a highlight of the day will be the final concert with the
Butler Bassoon Day Band in which all bassoonists attending can
play.
Butler University's Bassoon Day is free of charge.
Please bring your bassoon, reeds, and accessories along with
you.
To ensure that music and other material is available, everyone
is strongly encouraged to register by Feb. 8, 2013. However, late
and onsite registration may be possible if numbers permit.
