"Grandfathered" Music Minor
(for students who began their degrees before fall 2005
only)
A minor in music is available through the Jordan College of Fine
Arts. It consists of twenty-four (24) semester hours, of which
twelve to fourteen (12-14) are specified. These required hours for
the music minor are listed below:

The remaining hours are unspecified and may be taken in Applied
Music, Ensemble, Music Education, Music History, or Music
Theory.
*The music minor has the following performance attendance
requirement: the student must attend a minimum of 16 performances
during his/her matriculation at Butler. Of these 16 performances,
two to four must be dance performances and two to four must be
theatre productions. Please refer to "General academic regulations"
