David McCullough, associate director of bands
Mr. McCullough joined the faculty of the Jordan College of Fine
Arts in 1990 as Assistant Professor of Music and Associate Director
of Bands with primary emphasis on marching band, concert band, and
basketball pep band. He teaches courses in band arranging and
marching band techniques and graduate music education courses. He
is currently completing his D.M.A. from the University of
Washington, and he received his M.M. and B.M. at West Virginia
University. Mr. McCullough previously taught at the University of
Washington, Syracuse University, and West Virginia University. He
frequently serves as an adjudicator, clinician, consultant and
guest conductor.
Mr. McCullough has over ninety arrangements to his credit,
including arrangements for bands at the University of Illinois,
California State at Long Beach, Florida State University, the
University of Georgia, Illinois State University and Indiana State
University. He is published through Columbia Pictures
Publications.
He is a member of the International Trumpet Guild, the National
Band Association, College Band Directors National Association, and
the Music Educators National Conference, as well as various state
organizations and honorary societies.
