Summer Program in Guadalajara

Immersion in Language and Culture in Guadalajara, Mexico

This three-week, home-stay program provides an authentic experience in the Gaudalajara - Group of Students in authentic clothing.Spanish language and Mexican culture. The city of Guadalajara, the second largest in the country, serves as the classroom for Butler students to observe and learn about its people, culture, history, and language. Students meet each morning in the historic downtown and are paired with a different teacher and cultural tour. The rotation of teachers and guided tours exposes the student to a wide variety of accents, personalities, and aspects of Mexican culture. In addition to daily classes, other activities, such as weekend trips to Puerto Vallarta and Mazamitla, classes in art and dance, and family/teacher/student social gatherings, are important components of the program. This year we added a train tour to Tequila PADRISIMO!
