Phi Sigma Iota
International is the International Foreign Language Honor
Society. It recognizes students who have distinguished themselves
in their study of one or more languages, literatures and cultures.
It is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages.
Phi Sigma Iota has initiated over 60,000 members since its
foundation in 1917.
The Kappa Lambda chapter was established at Butler in 1988. Our
chapter holds its initiation ceremony for new members every
spring.. Membership dues are paid once for life-time membership in
the society. New members receive the society's pin, membership card
and certificate.
