German St. Martin's Day
Every year around
November 11th, St. Martin rides into town on his white horse and
instructs the children on the value of sharing. This old
German tradition is celebrated annually at the Athenaeum (German
Cultural Center, downtown) and Butler students are always quick to
volunteer to help St. Martin and lead the children with colorful
lanterns through the Lockerby area of Indianapolis. If you
haven't experienced St. Martins Fest you are really
missing something. Join Butler's German Klub for our next activity
or just come and see what it is all about!
