Requirements for a Minor in Chinese
A total of 21 hours is required, with at least 12 being at the
300/400 level. No 400 level course is required. Any 300 level
course can be selected and counted. CN 370 Summer Chinese
Language and Culture Program must be included. Other study
abroad hours may also be counted toward a minor but must be
approved in advance by the department head.
Any advanced placement credits earned may also be included. To
apply for and receive these credits, a student must have completed
two courses at the 300 level with at least a C grade. Go to the LAS
Dean's Office in JH 237 and request that these credits be placed on
your transcript. 9/06
