Chinese Moon Festival
The
Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhongqiujié), also known as the Moon Festival,
is on the 15th day of the 8th month in the
lunar calendar. The Moon Festival has a long history and is full of
legendary
stories such as the Moon Lady-Chang E, the Man-Wu Gang, the
hare-Jade Rabbit.
What do Chinese eat on this day? MOONCAKE! The
Chinese eat the moon cake and drink tea at night with the full moon
in the sky. Moon cake has various shapes and fillings and there are
many traditional
recipes to be found. Don't forget to get some at the Chinese
grocery store in your city around the festival. You will be
