In the summer of 2001,
the department moved into the Fairbanks Center for Communication
and Technology. The Fairbanks Center houses two full-sized television
studios, control room, and editing bays. It also includes two
digital audio recording studios and serves as the home for journalism,
communication studies and computer science.
