About Media Arts

An academic unit within the Jordan College of Fine Arts, The Department of Media Arts at Butler University offers programs designed to prepare graduates for entry-level positions in the electronic media and related industries. This professional education is built upon a strong liberal arts education conducive to lifelong learning and advancement to positions of leadership. The department seeks to foster an understanding of the role of electronic media in our global society. The department does not train narrowly focused, vocationally oriented students; rather it educates future leaders and innovators.
