What did you like about Butler?

I loved my time at Butler. I split time between the math department, residence life at Ross Hall, Campus Crusade for Christ, and the Hinkle gym. I met many of my best friends at Butler and clarified what my life priorities would be.

What did you do after graduation?

I joined Swiss Re as an actuarial analyst in life reinsurance pricing. After that I attended law school at the University of Pennsylvania.

What are you doing now?

I work in management/strategy consulting for McKinsey & Company. An actuarial background is a huge asset in management consulting. Actuarial training hones analytical and problem solving skills. With insurance clients in particular, an actuarial background builds credibility and improves understanding of company performance.
