Office of Public Relations
The Office of Public Relations provides support to campus
constituents in the form of communication planning, crisis
communication strategy, event promotion, internal communications,
media relations, and writing and editing. Through these efforts, we
seek to enhance the image of Butler University and broaden the
public's awareness and understanding of the University's mission,
its people, and its contributions to higher education.
Through media relations efforts, our staff secure placements for
the University's more than 100
faculty and staff experts. See our guidelines for covering news on

Internal communications at Butler are distributed several ways,
including the daily Connection,
all-campus listservs, and branded emails. See our e-communications procedures
for usage information.
We encourage faculty and staff members to contact us with
story ideas, as well as seek our assistance in responding to
media inquiries. Events that require promotion to campus or to
external audiences should be provided to us a minimum of three
weeks before the event date. See our full list of tips for
