Athletic Logos
Athletic Logo:
- Provides a strong marketing identity for all Butler athletics
promotions, advertising, and publications.
- Defined as the vertical logo, which uses the bulldog face
seated within the word Butler.
- To be used in association with all athletic publications,
functions, special events, and signage.
- Should be placed prominently in all of these applications,
especially in relation to other logos, such as sponsor logos or
other university or school logos.
- May only be reproduced in PMS 541 (the primary University
color) and black.
- May only be reversed out of solid color as
shown with the bulldog face in white at all times.
- May be printed and foil stamped in metallic silver, as well as
embossed, for special circumstances such as invitations.
- May not be reproduced for print media smaller than 11/16 inch
in diameter. Maximum sizes are flexible depending on the
usage.
Bulldog Logo:
- Can be used as a primary visual graphic in association with all
athletic publications, functions, special events, and signage.
- May only be reproduced in PMS 541 (the primary university
color) and black.
- May only be reversed out of solid color as
shown with the bulldog face in white at all times.
- May not be reproduced for print media smaller that 1/2 inch in
diameter. Maximum sizes are flexible depending on the usage.
- Use as a SECONDARY graphic to enhance a given design or graphic
layout is permitted.
Signature Athletic Logo:
- To be used only in association with athletics letterhead and
business cards, and should generally follow the same guidelines as
the University Signature Logo.
Additional Usage
The Butler athletics logo and bulldog logo may be used for other
University purposes (e.g., by Student Affairs) with the express
consent of either the athletic director, director of sports
marketing, or director of sports information. For more information,
