Adobe Garamond
is recommended typeface.
Highly readable, more traditional font family that can be read at small point sizes and is well suited for large amounts of copy.
Can be used in all its weights and styles.
Used as the primary headline and body copy typeface for all University publications.
Only body text family used for
Butler Magazine
and all printed alumni publications.
Exceptions are allowed for cases of limited promotional duration (e.g., events, arts productions, concerts, or lectures), provided that the artwork does not dilute the integrity of the University's identity.
Multimedia
Adobe Garamond is recommended typeface for multimedia usage.
Adobe Garamond semibold or bold is recommended for use when the serifs would be too thin based on the point size or resolution.
E-communications
All University e-communications will use Adobe Garamond as the primary graphic typeface.
