Understanding Plagiarism

This online tutorial covers what plagiarism is, lists best practices concerning when to directly cite and how to paraphrase, includes critical thinking examples of good/poor paraphrasing and direct citing, and provides Butler Student Handbook information on plagiarism.

For Butler faculty to utilize the tutorial with its accompanying quiz in their classes, please contact Kenton Smith, Butler's Moodle/Blackboard Administrator, to have the tutorial and quiz embedded in the Moodle or Blackboard LMS for the particular course. Kenton's contact information is: 940-8810. You can also submit an IT Help Ticket request for the quiz tutorial/embedding.
