Libraries & Their Differences
Many of you are probably very comfortable working in your high
school or local public library, however... the Butler
University Libraries are different.

- The collection of books is academic
- It is specifically meant for study and research at the
college level.
- There is no separate section for fiction
books; they are shelved with the rest of the literature books.
- We also have CDs, DVDs, videos, and musical scores - mostly for
classroom use, study & research, not entertainment.
- We use the Library of Congress classification system, not Dewey
Decimal.
