Directory of Services
Library Computers
The Irwin and Science Libraries have networked lab workstations,
wireless access, and wireless laptops for checkout. A typewriter is
also available in the basement of Irwin. View our Computer Use
Policy.
Library Digital Camcorder
The Irwin Library has one digital camcorder available for a
three day checkout.
Faxing
The Irwin library has a fax machine that is available to
students, staff, and faculty. This service is free of charge and
subject to the following policy:
The number of pages sent in one request and the number
of fax numbers sent to are subject to staff discretion (i.e., desk
staffing, pending assignments, etc). A good rule of thumb is
one large mutli-page fax (10+ pages) to any
one fax number or a small fax (approximately five
pages) to no more than five
different fax numbers.
Group & Individual Study Rooms and Study Carrels
The Irwin library has group and individual study rooms and
numerous enclosed study carrels. Two study rooms, Irwin 226 and
Irwin 306, are reservable by Butler students for both group and
individual study. Go to /media/28903/study_spaces.pdf
to reserve these rooms. If room is not reserved at least
two hours in advance, we cannot guarantee its
availability. The rest of the study rooms are open to all
patrons and no reservation is necessary.
If you would like to reserve an enclosed study carrel for an
extended period of time, contact the Irwin Library Circulation Desk
at 940-9227. All materials kept in the reserved carrels must be
properly checked out to the current carrel user.
