Thesis Binding Policy

Graduate students needing their thesis bound are asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Students must supply ALL copies to be bound. The library will not make copies and will retain the thesis with the original signature page. The library will pay for the binding of this copy only.
  • Students must fill out a Thesis Binding Request Form available from the Irwin Library Circulation desk or the Honors Program Coordinator.
  • Paper requirements for your thesis should be any office quality copier paper that is acid free.
  • Mailing information for personal copies should be a permanent address. Students will receive one copy of the form as a receipt.
  • Personal or departmental copies cost $12.00 per copy which includes shipping and handling. (Effective January 1, 2008)
  • Binding should take approximately 4-6 weeks from the time they are turned into the library, barring returns for corrections.
  • If your thesis is in print format, please submit it to the Circulation Desk at Irwin Library, care of Laina Ridenour.
  • If your thesis is a CD or DVD and recital program, please submit them to Sheri Stormes (the Music and Fine Arts Librarian) or Brad Matthies (the Access Services Librarian). Both librarians are located in the Irwin Library.
