To find articles in Scholarly journals, use a database that indexes scholarly articles, such as:

• MLA Bibliography
• Medline
• Hint: When using EBSCOhost, use the Peer-Review Option to get scholarly articles

To find articles in Professional/Trade or Popular journals, use a database such as:

• Academic Search Premier
• Lexis/Nexis Academic

Once you have a citation to an article, evaluate the citation by looking at the journal title. If you don't know if the journal is Scholarly, Trade, or a Popular magazine, check with a reference librarian.
