
Keith Phillips
Keith Phillips is a native of New Jersey, graduating from Point
Pleasant Boro High School in 1978. He received a B.A. from Butler
University in 1982 majoring in psychology. Keith worked in retail
management for 5 years after graduation before entering the
publications business in 1987. Keith helped start two publications
early in his career; Cash Book magazine, a coupon magazine in the
Indianapolis area and Indianapolis Weekly Update, a weekly tabloid
newspaper targeting households with high income. Keith has been
with Indianapolis Monthly since 1991 starting as an account
executive [91-97], advertising director [97-00], associate
publisher [00-03], and currently as publisher.
Keith is involved in a variety of organizations serving on a
number of boards and committees including: Builders Association of
Greater Indianapolis, Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, City and
Regional Magazine Association, American Society of Interior
Designers/Indiana Chapter.
Keith lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Virginia and their
four children, Evan, Andrea, Eric, and Alyse.
