
Drew Brahos
Mr. Brahos has an extensive background as an analyst, portfolio
manager, university professor and investment strategist, including
more than 10 years as a Senior Economist with Bank of America. His
views of the economy and the markets have been widely quoted in
Barron's, the Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal Radio, CNNfn,
Money in the Morning, Market Talk and many other media outlets.
Before joining Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, Mr. Brahos was
Senior Economist with a division of the Bank of America. His
responsibilities included analysis and interpretation of economic
data, consulting with portfolio managers, contributing to
investment strategy and maintaining proprietary economic
indicators. He also served as Editor of Economics Illustrated and
presented keynote speeches to investor conferences hosted by Bank
of America around the country. Prior to joining Bank of America, he
taught at Western Kentucky University, Western Illinois University,
University of Northern Iowa, and Purdue University-Calumet.
Mr. Brahos is a member of the National Association of Business
Economists, the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts (CFALA),
and the CFA Institute. He lives in Oxnard, California with his
wife, Marcia, and son, Christian.
