Standard Applications, Hardware, and Access
Standard Software
All computer labs have the following applications installed:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access - PC Only)
- Internet Explorer 6 (PC) or Safari (Mac)
- Megastat (PC Stats Package)
- Symantec Antivirus
- Macromedia Dreamweaver
- IE Plugins (Acrobat Reader, Shockwave, Flash, Authorware player, Quicktime)

Standard Hardware
All computers have CD-RW drives for burning CDs. They also have USB ports (typically on the front or side) for USB drives (commonly called "jump drives" or "thumb drives").
Network Access
All computers require a Butler username for login. Once logged on, your BUFiles will be mounted as drive H:\ (PC) or on your desktop (Mac). BUfiles provides network file storage that is accessible from any computer on campus.
On Windows computers, drive G:\ is connected to the "Courses" directory, where some faculty store course-related material for your use.
Of course, the computer labs also have access to Blackboard, Bumail, My Butler and the Internet.
