The Fairbanks Center and Technology Resources
The Eugene S. Pulliam School of Journalism and The Butler Collegian are housed
in the Richard M. Fairbanks Center for Communication and
Technology. Journalism students can take advantage of the
Center's two full-sized television studios, control room, editing
bays and two digital audio recording studios as well as
state-of-the-art computer labs and classrooms equipped with the
latest word processing, design and publishing, and video editing
software.
The Fairbanks Center is also equipped with wireless Internet and
all classrooms are fully mediated with a data/video projector,
VCR/DVD and dot cams. Students can use the labs as an information
resource and a place to work on assignments and out-of-class
projects.
Located on the southwest side of the campus, the facility
provides students with several informal gathering areas that
overlook the picturesque
Central Canal, its Towpath and surrounding woods.
