Code Of Conduct
Student Responsibilities
All members of the Jordan family (students, faculty, staff,
parents, etc.) are expected to demonstrate respect for others and
for the Academy facility at all times and to promote an environment
which is safe and welcoming of diversity. Students who do not
adhere to this code of conduct will be asked to leave.
Parent Responsibilities
Insure that students arrive on time for classes, properly
dressed, hair in place and ready to dance. Parents are responsible
for the actions of their non-participating children, both inside
the Academy building and outside on the Academy grounds. Please
remind your children that this is a school and not a playground. In
order to provide the best quality of instruction, it is very
important that conversation, noise etc, in the hallway be kept to a
minimum. Our dance studios are not play areas, please do not take
small children into vacant studios or allow them to wander alone
throughout the facility. Do not allow children to
hang on the barres, it can be very dangerous and lead to injury.
All of us want Jordan to be a warm and welcoming place for the
students and their families, but we must keep in mind that this is
a school and a place of business and should be respected as such.
The Academy will close 15 minutes after the last class or rehearsal
of the day. Students must be picked up by that time. If there is an
emergency of some kind, it is the parents' responsibility to inform
the Academy Office that they will be late in picking up their
children. The academy will charge a $25 per 15 minute wait time fee
for any student who is not picked up on time. This fee must be paid
before the student will be allowed to return to class.
The Jordan Academy of Dance reserves the right to
suspend or dismiss any student whose attitude and/or conduct are
unsatisfactory or disruptive.
