Alpha Psi Omega
Theatre honor society providing acknowledgement to those
demonstrating a high standard of accomplishment in theatre and
providing wider fellowship for those interested in theatre.
Butler University Show Choir
Serves as an interactive, creative, and recreational
organization to provide an imaginative and professional atmosphere
for students to perform for the University and the community.
Freshly Brewed
Promotes student interest in popular a cappella singing,
performing, and arranging. Open to female students (audition
process involved).
Kappa Kappa
Psi
Encourages good fellowship, leadership, and musical ability among
college and university band members.
Mu Phi Epsilon
This international music fraternity for men and women requires
that members be majors or minors with at least a second semester
standing.
Music Teacher National Association
MTNA advances the value of music study and music making to society
and to support the professionalism of music teachers.
National Association for Music Education (NAfME)
Membership is open to any Butler student interested in
the teaching of music. NAfME's purpose is to acquaint its
members with the responsibilities of the music education profession
and assist the Jordan College of Arts in various projects
throughout the year.
Out of the Dawg House
Promotes student interest in popular a cappella singing,
performing, and arranging. Membership is open to any male
enrolled at the university and who meets required audition
criteria.
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia
This music fraternity advances the cause of music in America,
fosters mutual welfare and brotherhood of students of music, and
gives recognition to outstanding worth in musical activity.
Sigma Alpha
Iota
Membership in this international music fraternity for women is
based on scholarship and musical ability and interest. The
Butler chapter sponsors various programs throughout the year.
There are also multiple opportunities to network with other
chapters throughout Indiana and elsewhere.
Sigma Rho Delta
National professional honorary for dance majors and minors.
It was established in 1967 and promotes unity within the dance
department and coordinates educational outreach projects.
Tau Beta Sigma
National honorary service sorority that promotes the existence and
welfare of the college band and cultivates wholesome respect for
its activities and achievements.
