Google Apps are now available at Butler! Google Apps are a suite of online tools, powered by Google, that can be used for working together on documents in real time. Google Apps accounts are automatically created for all enrolled students and all faculty and staff.

Instructions on how to activate your Butler Google Apps account were sent to your Butler email address.

First Up: Google Docs

The first Google App that Butler is promoting is Google Docs. Google Docs is a suite of tools that allows you to create different kinds of documents, work on them simultaneously with other people, and access them from anywhere you have a computer and an Internet connection. Google Docs does not replace Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) on campus, but serves as a complimentary toolset for document collaboration. Here is an overview of Google Docs.
