Account and Password
Account Creation and Termination
IT creates new user accounts for Butler students, faculty,
staff, and affiliates. The entire process takes two business
days to complete once information from Human Resources or
Registration and Records has been received. IT also removes
accounts that are inactive.

Password Management
If you forget your Butler password or get locked out of the
password management system, IT can reset your password and/or
unlock your account.

Personal Butler Websites
All students, faculty, and staff have a directory on Thomas,
Butler's personal website server. IT provides assistance to you in
accessing your Thomas folder, as well as troubleshooting any
problems you are having with creating a web page using your Thomas
space.

Username Change
If you have had a legal name change then you can change your
Butler username accordingly. Faculty, staff & affiliates should
contact Human Resources at (317) 940-9355 and students should
contact Registration and Records at (317) 940-9203 to request a
username change. After that, contact the Help Desk so that IT is
alerted to your request.
