Laptop Loaners for Faculty and Staff

Faculty and Staff may borrow laptops from the Center for Academic Technology. Information Technology provides repair loaner laptops to faculty and staff only when IT is conducting repairs.

Library Laptop Loaner Program for Students

Both the Irwin Library and the Science Library have Dell laptops and Apple Macbooks available for checkout to current Butler University students. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This equipment can leave the library and has a 7 day circulation period. Loaner Laptops have no renewals.

The Irwin Library recognizes that demand for these devices can be high; as a result, patrons are required to wait 24 hours after returning a laptop before checking one out again.

Student Computer Rebuilds and Hardware Repairs

IT provides computer rebuilds to students; visit our IT Computer Rebuild page for more information. IT also partners with Bray Technologies in order to provide personal computer hardware repair services via depot. Visit our Computer Hardware Repair page for more information. Students utilizing either service are eligible for use of a laptop repair loaner while their device is being repaired.
