Some Devices Interfere With the Butler Wireless
Network
Butler IT has observed an increase in wireless interference due
to the use of certain devices.
In order to maintain a quality experience for everyone, please
immediately discontinue the use of any device listed on the
prohibited wireless device list below.
Prohibited Wireless Devices:
Approved Wireless Devices:
- Bluetooth 2.1 (or higher) compatible peripherals such as
keyboards, mice, and audio headsets
- Client devices with Wi-Fi certified 802.11a/b/g/n wireless
capabilities including:
- Laptops and Desktops
- Smartphones & iPods (iPhone, Droid, etc.)
- Tablet computing devices (iPad, Xoom, Galaxy Tab, etc.)
IT recommends that Windows XP users set their system to connect
to infrastructure devices only.
This will reduce the amount of ad-hoc network interference.
