Web Conferencing

What is Web Conferencing?

Web conferencing is used to conduct live meetings or presentations over the internet. These meetings can consist of a few participants or a very large number of attendees. Web conferencing is great for situations where not everyone that is essential to a meeting can be in same place at the same time. With web conferencing, they need only have access to a computer with an internet connection.

Large Group Conferencing via IHETS Interactive ~ (Leader and 3 or more attendees)

Butler University is a member institution of IHETS. Being a member institution, IHETS grants us the ability to use IHETS Interactive to hold web conference meetings at no cost. These web conference meetings can be used to communicate with groups around the globe or to hold a lecture from your home computer.

Small Group Conferencing via Adobe ConnectNow ~ (Leader and 2 or fewer attendees)

Adobe provides Adobe ConnectNow as a way for small groups to easily create a meeting space online that they can work in from great distances. You have the ability to name your own URL and have all of the same functions that IHETS Interactive gives you through Adobe Connect without having to set up a meeting a day in advance.
