Streaming Devices

Apple TV

  1. Go to Settings > General > Network
  2. The Wi-Fi address will be listed in the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
  3. From a web browser, visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login with your Butler username and password
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi address in the MAC address field
  5. Enter a description
  6. Click the Register button
  7. You should see a successful registration message. You can now sign out of Netreg.
  8. Restart your Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart)
  9. Connect to BU Guest/Open Wireless
  10. Your device should now be connected to the Internet

Roku

  1. From the home screen go to Settings
  2. Select About
  3. The MAC address will be listed in the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
  4. From a web browser, visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login with your Butler username and password
  5. Enter the MAC address in the MAC address field
  6. Enter a description
  7. Click the Register button
  8. You should see a successful registration message. You can now sign out of Netreg.
  9. Restart your Roku (Unplug the power cord and then plug back in)
  10. Connect to BU Guest/Open Wireless
  11. You device should now be connected to the Internet

Boxee Box

  1. From the Settings menu, select System
  2. Select Information
  3. The Wi-Fi address will be listed in the format XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
  4. From a web browser, visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login with your Butler username and password
  5. Enter the Wi-Fi address in the MAC address field
  6. Enter a description
  7. Click the Register button
  8. You should see a successful registration message. You can now sign out of Netreg.
  9. Restart your Boxee Box (From the main menu, select the power icon on the bottom right to shut down, then restart)
  10. Connect to BU Guest/Open Wireless
  11. Your device should now be connected to the Internet
