Sony Playstation 3 (Wireless)
- Navigate to Settings located
on the far left
- Navigate down to System Settings
- Select System Information
- The MAC address will be listed in the format
XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
- From a web browser,
visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login
with your Butler username and password
- Enter the MAC address in the MAC address
field
- Enter a description
- Click the Register button
- You should see a successful registration message. You can now
sign out of Netreg.
- Restart your Playstation
- Connect to the BU Guest/Open
Wireless network

- Navigate to Settings located
on the far left
- Go down to Network Settings at the
very bottom
- Press X
- Make sure Internet
Connection is Enabled
- Go to Internet Connection Settings
- Press X
- Press X again and
choose Easy
- Choose Wireless and
then Scan
- Select BU Guest/Open Wireless
- Press X
- Ensure BU Guest/Open Wireless
is selected and press the right
arrow
- Select None and press
the right arrow
- Press X to save the settings
- Press Test Connection
- Press Circle
- Your Device should now be connected to the Internet
Sony Playstation 2
- Load the Start-up CD in your PS2
- Make sure you have the network cable disconnected
- Walk through the Start-Up CD until it starts testing your
connection. Since the network cable is disconnected, the test will
fail.
- You can now press the select button which will display the MAC
address
- Write down the MAC address of your PS2 (the 12-digit
number)
- From a web browser,
visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login
with your Butler username and password
- Enter the MAC address in the MAC address
field
- Enter a description
- Click the Register button
- You should see a successful registration message. You can now
sign out of Netreg.
- Restart your PS2
- Connect the PS2 to a RED Ethernet port
- Your device should now be connected
Sony PSP
- Navigate to System Settings
- Then navigate to System Information
- The MAC address will be listed in the format
XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
- From a web browser,
visit http://netreg.butler.edu and login
with your Butler username and password
- Enter the MAC address in the MAC address
field
- Enter a description
- Click the Register button
- You should see a successful registration message. You can now
sign out of Netreg.
- Restart your PSP
- Connect to BU Guest/Open Wireless
- Your device should now be connected
